WHY YOU ARE READING THIS
Your church, nonprofit, or employer chose Impact.app to help its people find their place and get connected. Along the way, it collects information about you. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to that information. It is written for you, the member, not for the organization that bought the platform.
WHOSE DATA IT IS
The information on Impact.app is not our data. What your organization puts in belongs to your organization. What you put in belongs to you: your profile, what you post, and your assessment results are yours. All of it is entrusted to us for safekeeping. In legal terms, your organization is the controller and we are the processor: it decides what is collected and why, and we act on its instructions. We are obligated, by contract and by law, to use that information only to provide the platform, to keep it secure, and to help your organization meet its own legal duties to you.
WHAT YOUR ORGANIZATION MAY COLLECT
That depends on how your organization uses the platform, but it will likely include your name and contact details, your assessment results, your profile and story, groups and events you take part in, and, if you give, your giving history. If you want to know exactly what your organization collects, ask your organization. We do not have the right to share what it stores, and that restriction protects you.
YOUR ASSESSMENT RESULTS, STATED PLAINLY
Impact.app includes assessments covering personality, strengths, skills, interests, passions, and spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts results can reveal religious belief, which the law treats as sensitive information. So here is what we will never do with your results: we do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not use them to train any general purpose AI model. They exist for one purpose, to help the leaders you already trust help you find your place.
WHAT THE AI DOES WITH YOUR INFORMATION
The AI serves the leaders of your organization, and there is no member-facing chatbot. It works only on your organization's own data, inside an isolated environment, and never draws on another organization's data. The AI proposes. Decisions belong to the managing leaders your organization authorizes. The full commitments are on our AI and Assessments page.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to certain uses of it. Because your organization is the controller, start with them: they can act on your request directly. If you contact us instead, we will pass your request to your organization and support them in answering it. You will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
CHILDREN
Where an organization uses Impact.app with minors, that organization is responsible for the consent its laws require. If we learn that we hold a child's information collected without that consent, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, contact your organization first, or tell us through the contact form and we will work with them to investigate and remove it.
SECURITY
Your organization's data lives in an isolated environment on Microsoft Azure, encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict access controls. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Trust Center.
QUESTIONS
Questions about what your organization collects belong with your organization. Questions about how Impact.app protects it can be sent through the contact form on this website.
